Community Gardens

The UConn Extension Master Gardeners maintain a variety of demonstration gardens across the state, showcasing sustainable gardening practices and inspiring visitors to explore different plant species and techniques. These gardens serve as living classrooms, offering hands-on learning opportunities in areas such as pollinator-friendly planting, vegetable gardening, native plants, and water conservation. Managed by certified Master Gardeners and volunteers, the gardens demonstrate best practices for Connecticut's growing conditions, fostering environmental stewardship and community engagement. Visitors are encouraged to explore the gardens, attend workshops, and take home ideas to apply in their own landscapes.
